SUN RUN FAIR AND PACKAGE PICK-UP FOR
IN-PERSON INDIVIDUAL REGISTRANTS
(Individual 10K and Shaw Mini Sun Run 2.5K Categories)
Canada’s biggest and best community run takes place on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 9 a.m.
Join us under the dome to collect your race day package and visit the many sponsor booths onsite to see what’s new in running fashion & accessories. Plus, sample the many diverse sponsor products available!
Race Package Pick-Up at BC Place is for those registered in the Individual 10K and Shaw Mini Sun 2.5K categories ONLY. Those who are in teams must see their Team Captain for their race package.
The Vancouver Sun Run Fair & Race Package Pick-Up is located at BC Place, 777 Pacific Blvd. Entrance at Street Level during the following days and times:
- Friday, April 14, 2023: 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Saturday, April 15, 2023: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Individual 10K – Your package will consist of a souvenir technical shirt and race bib number with timing tag.
Shaw Mini Sun Run 2.5K – Your package will consist of a souvenir technical or cotton shirt and a race bib (non-timed).
If you’re unable to pick-up your package, you can assign someone to pick it up for you. Please give that person your bib number to expedite the pick-up process – nothing else is needed. For out-of-town participants (must be from outside Lower Mainland) picking up on race morning, please email us at info@vancouversunrun.com
IMPORTANT – RACE BIB LOOK UP (Only for 10K participants)!
Individual 10K – BEFORE going to the Vancouver Sun Run Fair to pick up your Race Bib (which includes your timing tag) and tech shirt, it is recommended that you go online to confirm your registration and to look up your Bib Number to avoid long line-ups. The “Bib Look Up/Results” will be available starting 8am on Friday, April 14, 2023.
Shaw Mini Sun Run 2.5K – this race is NOT an officially timed event, so the Race Bib Number Look Up does not apply. Please go directly to the Shaw Mini Sun Run Booth inside BC Place during the Sun Run Fair times to pick up your race package. Note that there is NO RACE DAY Package Pickup for this category so you must pick-up during Sun Run Fair dates.
SPECIAL NOTES
Shaw Team Division and Oasis Youth Team Challenge:
Team Members – please pick up your race package (tech shirt and race bib with timing tag) from your team captain.
Team Captains – Team shirts and Race Bibs with Timing Chip will be delivered directly from the screen printer. Team Packages will be delivered between April 11-13, 2023. There is NO TEAM PICKUP at Sun Run Fair or on Race Day.
Virtual Experience Participants:
Your race package (shirt and race bib) will be mailed to you directly (as part of your registration fee). You should receive this sometime during race week, April 10-13, 2023.
Timing Tag
The Vancouver Sun Run will be using the race result timing system. The timing device will be attached to the back of your race number. Please do not remove it. Your event time is recorded as you cross the timing mats at the start and finish line. No timing device = no time. Your race number must be worn on the front of your shirt for the event. The timing device and race number is yours to keep as a souvenir after the event.
Pre-Race:
In-person registrants will pick up and verify your Bib Tag at Race Package Pick-up. Team members will pick-up from their team captain. Do not crumple your race number or damage the Bib Tag in any way. A crumpled/damaged Bib Tag will not work. Attach your race number to the front of your shirt prior to the race. It records the time it takes you to get from start to finish no matter where in the pack you begin.
Race Day (for everyone racing in-person):
You must wear the BibTag on your Race Number as provided or you will not be timed.
Ensure your Race Number is clearly visible; the Bib Tag will not work properly if it is covered by clothing. Make sure if you are wearing “throw away” clothing prior to the event, that you remove it before crossing the timing mats at the start line. You must cross the timing mats at the start and finish lines to receive a finish time. No other timing method will be used.
Race Finish:
After crossing the finish line, you do not need to return your race number or Bib Tag! It is yours to keep as a souvenir.
