Shaw Team Division 10K

The Shaw Team Division is an extremely powerful opportunity for team building, friendship and camaraderie amongst employees, teams and friends! Each year the Vancouver Sun Run attracts over 1,000 teams consisting of eight or more participants. Create your team today and experience Canada’s largest start line!

Have multiple offices across the province? No problem. Your team can consist of both in-person and virtual participants. This is the perfect way to stay connected with your wider team and encourage fitness among staff.

How To Get Started – Create a Team!

RECRUIT: Minimum team size is 8 people. Register your team of RUNNERS, WALKERS OR WHEELCHAIR participants. Members can be made up of in-person and virtual participants but everyone must be registered for the 10K.  All co-workers, colleagues, friends or family are welcome! Team captains must first create a new Team by clicking the “Register Now” on the main menu above and choosing “Create a Team.” Click here to create your team.

Team Categories & Scoring

We encourage friendly competition amongst the following Team Categories: Non-Profit and Non-Professional Club/Association, Communications/Marketing/Advertising, Education, Engineering, Financial/Banking/Securities/Investments, Food/Hospitality/Tourism, Government, Health/Medical/Dental, High Tech, Legal and Accounting Firms, Real Estate/Development/Construction, Resources, Retail, Transportation & Family & Friends

Finishers’ times and positions are recorded at the finish line. The team’s score is based on the accumulation of the top 8 team members’ placement (i.e. what place they come in crossing the finish line based on their gender). Those registered for Virtual and Vancouver Sun Run Sponsor teams do not qualify.

Team Shirts

Teams have an option to have their team name OR logo on the back of their shirt. Details on shirt artwork specs can be found here!

Team Invoicing

Exclusive to the Shaw Team Division, you can choose to set-up the team’s registration fees to be invoiced directly to your corporation or organization. Invoiced registrations are considered as a paid registration therefore considered final with no refunds, transfers or name exchanges allowed on invoiced registrations. Payment must be received no later than March 17, 2023. Team packages (team branded race shirts and race bibs) will not be released unless payment is paid in full.

Team Package

Team Shirts and Race Bibs with Timing Chip: These will all be delivered to the address provided on the team registration form (completed by the Team Captain) at NO CHARGE. Team members need to contact their Team Captain directly to pickup their race package. Team Captains can expect their Team Package between April 11-13, 2023.

Please Note: Race packages for team members’ friends or family who are NOT part of your team and are registered under the Individual Category, must pick up their package separately at/during the Sun Run Fair.
